The DIGIC III Image Processor with Noise Reduction Technology gives you sharp images at high resolutions. The Canon PowerShot 10 MP camera comes with a 2.5-inch PureColor LCD II screen and an autofocus function that gives you clearer pictures even in low-light conditions. Additionally, this Canon PowerShot SD890 / IXUS 970 IS compact digital camera has 18 shooting modes, including a specialized mode to capture sunset images and an optical viewfinder to capture clear images under extreme sunlight.

    Surprisingly good

    While 10 megapixels isn't high by today's standards I have made very large prints from this camera that look better than cameras with twice this rated resolution. My first one was lost (stolen?) and after testing several others I purchased a used 890 to replace it. Only downside is no HD video, but I got this for stills. The lens quality is superb and the color sense is less blown out than Canons usually are.

    A Lil Gem - 2 THUMBS UP

    This is be my third Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH SD890 IS Camera. I love it's quality, size, versatility and reliability. The first I gave to my husband after he swam across a river while camping. Believe it or not the camera worked perfectly, after completely drying. So I purchased the 2nd for myself and enjoyed it for many years, until it recently (within the last 8 months) began to malfunction and provide less than desirable photos. I decided to stick with this camera and purchase another since it's so light, easy to use( point & shoot), has a decent zoom and quick shutter speed to capture action shots. I am thrilled to have this fully functioning gem in my hands. By the way - all of the cameras were purchased on ebay. The first one was new, but the last two were in good, used ...

    Nice gift

    I bought this as a birthday present for my niece, who was turning 15. She wanted to get into photography but she wanted a real camera.not knowing how long she'd actually be interested in it I tried to find a good camera with a lot of options for a good price This one was excellent she loves it she's having a good time with it.
