The screen and form factor is nice, battery performance is terrible... it'll completely drain itself just in standby over the course of a day. Running Android 7... some apps simply aren't available for it (Hilton was first I encountered), but the real problem is wireless... every other device in my home (and other places I've test) show full or nearly full signal quality, but this one consistently is at a bar or two, and speed tests reflect it... best I've gotten is 5 Mbps down (again, on wireless, not cellular). Shows finger prints like crazy, and the "Asus" silver lettering starting pealing off the first day.
tl;dr: Can't run modern apps, internet is terrible, rapid battery drain, fingerprints.
That said, if a kid wants to watch YouTube for a few hours on a device, sure.
All of the Z8s tablets have a slight 1 mm bend from the factory. It is not a defect.
ASUS Z8s received today. Looks like new and performs perfectly. The disclaimer about the slight bend is really not needed as it appears on my old Z8s also, which was bought new in 99. So, this is not a real defect.
