Removed Barnacles from plastic fitting, on Water Maker. Accidentally left overboard, for 3 months my Water-Maker's Pressure-Washer hose fitting, that plugs into the W.M. Filter. The Florida Tampa Bay Warm SaltWater had coated the fitting with Barnacles, on the outside and inside of plastic fitting. It is a hard Plastic Fitting, but it is critical that fitting be undamaged and clear of large particles, inorder to fit and not cause damage to filter.
I soaked fitting in a diluted mixture of product overnight. Then lightly tapped the barnacles off the outside and the inside barnacles came loose at the same time. Fitting working great, and Water-Maker up and running.
P.S. also to my surprise, product did NOT do any noticeable damage to rubber O-Ring seal on fitting.
Poured in boat sea strainer for AC to clean the lines. The stuff must attack organic materials because it foamed quite a bit. I did it a few times until it no longer foamed. It cleaned out everything very well and AC now pumps water easier.
