    The blender is great quality, but I think if I had to do it again, I would have just changed out the spout for a plug. The seller is clear about the rubber base not being a custom fit, but I wish it was better. Also, the blender is bigger and heavier which is hard on my wrists when moving it around and washing it. I also liked the old, not sharp blades, that I could clean under with my fingers. It is a great blender, just think the old one worked better for my needs.

    Please people DO NOT clean the blades with your fingers. NEVER stick your fingers down by the blades, very dangerous. New modern sharp blades or older dull ones, Instead use the standard Vitamix very easy cleaning method; 2 cups warm water,2 drops dish soap, run on machine for 15 seconds and rinse. Simple and quick. The new modern container is the same weight as the old SS container. For less weight only make 1/2 loads or get a plastic smaller lightweight container. We carry them. Happy Blending

    I’ve been using this container daily for smoothies and it blends its contents rapidly and smoothly. Much better than the original container on both counts. Fits under the counter and looks great. This is a wonderful upgrade to the original container. Does great nut butters. Wet chop was amazing fast and consistent. This is a very fast container.
