    I'm delighted with this thermometer because, on the rare times I needed my old one and found the battery dead, it was a great inconvenience. Now, no battery. I also like that it has both Centigrade and Fahrenheit scales. The downside: it's a bit large and cumbersome, but it works well, and is better than digital for me. Also, it arrived sooner than expected.

    The thermometer works well. It is easier to read than any other glass thermometer I've seen. It can be difficult to "shake down" the fluid. The non-round shape helps to prevent the thermometer from rolling.

    Meh ... wouldn't recommend

    the part that goes under you tongue, the slender part, is too short .. and the rest is too think for use under the tongue and to hold w\ your lips. They should've just left the original design of the old mercury thermometers. Because of the design I cannot get an accurate reading; it's always too low. it's easy to read but what good is that if it's difficult to use & inaccurate?

    Dual scale does not mean Celsius AND Fahrenheit. This thermometer is Celsius only. It still works as a thermometer you just have to remember how to do the math to get to Fahrenheit.
