    Easy installation, good for the price

    I had to replace a similar gripshifter that had lost a spring from the left sided shift when I removed it for a cable change. This pair was an improvement since the left shifter (front derailluer) had more dlicks allowing for better trimming of the front shifter. That said, it is a very inexpensive item and may not stand up to heavy use, but is excellent for around town riding.

    Great price. Only acceptable.

    The price was great because you get everything in the kit. 2 shifters, 2 cables, and 2 end grips. This kit costs a lot more in other places. But the gear position is not exactly perfect. The old SRAM shifter I replaced was more precise because it hit every gear perfectly. This one sometimes doesn't go into the gear when I upshift or downshift at the click, and I have to move the grip a tiny bit up or down to get on the sprocket. I don't believe any adjustment would correct this. It moves correctly into 1 and into 8, but a couple of the others don't go in perfectly sometimes, and I find this annoying. I had to replace the old SRAM shifter because it had original foam grips that were disintegrating and were taped up and I could not find any replacement grips anywhere on the internet. They ...

    Use Sram derailleur or else?

    Bought this shifter set to replace a faulty working set of shifters I had in my bike. In the description it states that it will work well with Shimano deraillieurs well I tried over and over again to make it work and to no avail. The front shifter works well as I had it set up, Sram on the front and Shimano on the rear with an XTR rear derailleur. Not sending it back since it was 20 bucks USD and the cables and front shifter would have cost more than that to replace. So I put my LX shifter back on and all is well. That's my 2 cents.

    The existing SRAM front and rear grip shifter's were busted on my son's bike that I sometimes ride. These things work great. Very precise shifting. Easy to install. Highly recommended.

    changed thumb shifters to grip on wife's bike ,had to watch an online video to be able for me to adjust properly. they work perfectly and with a minimum of tools and a little online help I think anyone could manage this 1st class product they look and work great
