    The final film of an unconventional director who was the leading light of Iranian cinema. It consists of 24 short films in which Kiarostami's photographs are made into moving images by animation. Not so much a story as a meditation on the relationship of photography and film. Each of the 24 "frames" is a tiny story in itself. The number 24 refers to the usual practice of shooting a film at 24 frames per second. Since movies began as a rapidly-projected still images, 24 is appropriate fro this hybrid of two visual mediums. Kiarostami developed the vignettes in between other projects; the film was 90% complete when he died in 2016. Extras include an interview with the director's son (who added the finishing touches) and a discussion led by noted critic Godfrey Cheshire. BTW: I answered No ...
