The Yamaha PSR 510 KEYBOARD first hit the shelves somewhere around 1986 and I purchased one. It stopped working just 2 months ago (Jan 2017). Though the problem was diagnosed as a worn part. It was unrepairable & unreplaceable b ecause .the keyboard was no longer produced. I searched E-BAY and found and purchased the same identical model. It had to be close to 30 years old. It was in excellent condition and played like a brand new one. The price was right...........So I got a great deal

I bought this keyboard in 1995. It still works and is still in excellent condition. The PSR-510 does a lot of different effects. You can fully customize each rhythm by changing the drum kits and the voice of the auto accomp bass/chords. You can also create your own drum patterns to the existing rhythms...or simply create your own song from scratch. I also like how their are 2 fill-in's and the intro and ending are separate buttons. Another great feature is you can turn on and turn off elements in the rhythm playing...such as removing and adding drum 1, drum 2, pad, chord 1, chord 2, etc... For the voices you can have 1 or 2 voices at the same time, and you can change the volume of the voice only so it does not affect the rhythm, and vice versa. Another bonus is the MIDI capabilities.
