    Good transceiver.

    This radio has a very readable lcd display. The controls are well situated for ease of use. Transmit is clear with decent range. The speaker is of decent quality for receive. I prefer the size of the HH45, but this HH38 is a good deal. Cobra quality strikes again.

    CB Mistake

    In the 70's when everyone drove a van and all had CB radios. They were a good source of information about road conditions, weather info or just someone to chat with on long trips. I thought the hand held 40 channel Cobra would come in handy on the road. I recently took a trip and tuned in channel 19 and waited to hear what the truckers had to say. Not a word was said for over 40 miles and I thought my radio was broken and asked for a radio check. My reply was "your working" and that was it. Not another word. The truckers aren't using their CB's much anymore and boy, do I feel stupid. Buyers beware.

    Cobra HH 38WXST 40 Channel CB

    Well I Liked It So Much I Bought A Second One For My Other Vehicle. Price Was Really Good Since It Was A Factory Refurbished Units. I Couldn't See It Had Ever Been Taken Apart But Was Just Not In Factory Wrapping. I Highly recommend This Unit To Everyone.

    Worthless

    If I were the Cobra Corporation, I would be embarrassed to have my name associated with this product much less be the producer. No range, no power and worthless inside or outside a vehicle. You'd be better off with two cans and s string.
