Navigating Turbulent Waters: Greek Politics in the Era of Eleftherios Venizelos provides both an excellent account of the political life of one of the greatest Greek statesmen of all time, but also a comprehensive examination of the political history and foreign relations of Greece from the establishment of the modern Greek state (1832) to the interwar years (1930s). The book offers an invaluable historical account substantiated by extensive new bibliographical material and archival sources. It reflects a very serious and sound scholarship and constitutes a significant contribution to the relevant literature. Written in a professional but easily to comprehend language makes the book very accessible to the specialist, as well as the general reader.
