This Alcatel QUICKFLIP 4044C 4G LTE HD is a workable upgrade for Cricket subscribers who have been using 3G Pantech Breeze III flip phones (which will soon not be supported on the Cricket network). I was able to keep my existing Talk and Text plan and simply activate the Quickflip in place of my old Pantech. As best I can tell, the QUICKFLIP 4044C is not available directly from the Cricket store. You order it here and then bring it to a Cricket store as a "Bring Your Own Device" phone. They will deactivate your old phone and activate the QUICKFLIP 4044C in its place by creating a new SIM card for it ($11 fee). My old contacts couldn't be transferred automatically due to some limitation in my old phone, so I had to enter them manually into the new phone. It will take a while to learn how to use all the new features provided by the QUICKFLIP 4044C, but overall the transition was not too hard for me to manage.Read full review
