I had an S-III for five years but got a new phone because the original's battery got to a point where it would last only a day. The phone I received works well in every aspect but the new battery is not much better. Overall a good buy.

Bought a used replacement of the same smartphone I had because it's mostly just a phone and web-surfing device. Don't care about fancy features, downloading a lot of apps, or gaming. I am disappointed with the quality of the camera, however. The focus is consistently poor.

I bought this refurbished phone as a replacement for my Samsung Straosphere 2. Very happy with the purchase. I really love how beautiful the display on this phone is. Not too big and not too small. Perfect size, it still fits in the back pocket of my jeans. (a big thing for me) The signal seems to be worse in my house than with my Stratosphere 2. Not sure why??? Due to this fact, I'm looking into purchasing a signal booster for in my house. Kinda annoying. I would have thought new phone better or same signal strength strength, not worse :/ But other than getting used to only having a virtual keyboard (stratosphere 2 had a physical keyboard)and the loss of signal strength in my house, I LOVE IT!!!
We love the screen resolution. Better than the IPhone( I have two). I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. I had one from straight talk that one was highly stripped down compared to this one. He fell in love with the screen and size. Battery life sucks until you disable the bloat ware. I sold my straight talk because it was a junk. His is great. Do not own this phone without a otterbox or life proof case. Very thin I wouldn't have one without a case. It is fast and worth the cost if it is a Verizon or At&t phone but I can't recommend a Straight talk version that one really gives this phone a bad name. I really like this phone it's awesome.
- Why you bought it * I bought it as a replacement for another phone that didn't meet my needs for Memory space and a tad bit more speed. * - What you like most about it Can run everything I wanted to throw at it and the screen is beautiful and space for a lot. * - What you dislike about it. Has a habit of audible [realistic] sounds at any time of day (I have it set not to check email automatically and gmail still checks late at night) and sometimes updates when I've told it to do only on wireless(I find a bunch of updates noted at updated before my wireless came on in the morning). Also 4.1.2 seems to have a problem syncing with services like hotmail and I end up with duplicates arriving after I've deleted from inbox and trash on my home pc. * - Whether or not you would buy the product again. I think I would, though with the Samsung 4 coming that thought wanes if I get a good auction sale in on ebay. Its too quiet when I want it loud but too loud with its notifications and they are set lower and that irks me my lesser phone kicks arse with that need. I think I'll need a good pair of head phones to fill that external sound need. *Read full review
I purchased based primarily on internet consensus for the ease of rooting/updating ROMs so I could kick the spyware/bloatware and other crap off MY device and update to an open source android that wasn't 5yrs old. Mission accomplished. It was very easy. It turns out that phone is a fantastic compromise between the latest/greatest $700 phone at the "today" (10/2013) price point of $225. The only thing I can see it lacks on the other S3/S4 variants is size - and I'm pleased that it has a smaller form factor because it fits in a pants or sport coat pocket. It also is able to use a 64GB SD card so I can shoot full HD videos, carry tons of music, work documents.. etc and still have room to spare. It looks a bit fragile and the glass is very close to the corners (which are plastic cased) so if you drop it on an edge it's going to be toast. Buy some sort of case for it.Read full review
We have used two of these phones (and a Note 2), Verizon service, since early December 2012. They take some learning because no user manual exist for the many interacting capabilities. This has long been a key reason for all family members having the same brand phones, we can learn from one another. These have performed very very well for us overall, including adequate battery life AM to PM. We choose these because of better battery life than many previous options and because the battery is easily user swappable; we carry a spare charged battery with us so that if the battery gets low, we can just switch batteries. A key problem with these, and all the newer super-slim phone designs is that the display beneath the glass front is subject to pressure and can be cracked, destroying the phones usefulness. Indeed, this was the reason for our purchasing a replacement from an Ebay seller. So always be careful in handling the phone, consider an Otterbox Defender (or other tough & bulky) case. We did not purchase the very expensive Version replacement insurance option on the phones (calculated gamble given ever decreasing prices as new phones come out) and despite having to replace one phone, this has still worked out (so far) about $200 less expensive than had we purchased Verizon insurance on all 3 phones originally.Read full review
I have mixed feelings about this phone. I had one before and the charger port went out so rather than learn another phone, I just got another S3. I like the clear big screen, lots of options for techies, but honestly, I just use it for a few basic things. One thing I dont care for is how many steps it takes to look up a number, click on it, then it takes you to the dial screen, where you hit the call button again. Iphone does it in one step. The contacts list is touchy, and I've accidentally called a few people. Also unintentionally linked phone numbers together, but i'm sure that's more my inexperience than a fault of the phone. It's pretty sturdy, except for the charger port... works fine for now, but seems to be loose and that is why I replaced this one to begin with.
The S3 is a great phone overall . I like it's slim design , picture quality and most other features. the only drawback is short battery life. Would recommend this phone to everyone. very good phone!

I love this Galaxy S3!! My phone finally went kaput on me, and I was having a fit about having to upgrade to a new smartphone. I am very pleased to say that I was able to find this phone, and that it is exactly like the one I originally purchased. The phone is easy to use, plenty of options, great battery life, reception, everything that I need. Very happy with purchase!!
