The Nikon F-301 is a manual SLR (single lens reflex) camera with a motorised film advance. It is a Nikon camera without a manual film advance lever, providing users with a smoother advancement of film. This Nikon film camera utilises DX film speed decoding allowing it to automatically adjust film speed no matter what setting is used. It has a shutter speed of 1 to 1/2000 per second. The Nikon F-301 offers a variety of exposure modes for added sensitivity. Photographers can adjust the speed and aperture of this Nikon film camera making it possible to take detailed pictures and capture fast-moving objects with sharpness and clarity. A variety of lens can also be mounted onto this 35 mm SLR camera via the Nikon F bayonet mounting. The camera runs on four AAA batteries that are placed in its base plate. A suitable camera for semi-professional or advanced camera users, the Nikon F-301 blends functionality with ease of use.

    The ideal camera for entry to manual focus film photography.

    The F301 is the perfect film camera for anyone wanting to enter hte world of analogue shooting. It can be set up as a simple point, focus and shoot camera or you can have full manual control. You also have access to the full Nikkor lens line up. A great camera.

    The last of the "pre-plastic" generation of Nikon Amateur Cameras

    The good: These cameras work with AI and AIS lenses. They have electronic shutter control and run on cheap AAA batteries. They have TTL flash control with the correct nikon speedlight and have a built in film winder. The bad: there is no depth-of-field button & it has a built in film winder ! The ugly: Watch for 1 major fault risk - Remember that traditional photographic silver oxide buttton cells rarely leak - but AAA batteries are notorious for doing this so check the one up for sale has not got a corroded battery bay. Even if cleaned up the chemicals get into the body and eat away at the electronics (so empty your camera of batteries before putting it away !).

    second-hand film camera

    camera was as new, came with free batteries and worked well. A bargain. Film cameras are cheaper now because of the use of digital but they cannot be beaten for quality.

    Nikon film camera

    The camera is what I expected, but there could have been at least a small description of the item rather than no description at all. It also should have stated that it was not from a smoke free home. But all in all happy.
