Samsung DEX - great idea/ Case Compatibility a challenge
Setup is a cinch. DEX works well with my unlocked Note 9, but I have one gripe. It makes no sense for an official Samsung Note 9 rugged protective cover to be incompatible with a DEX pad. I have to remove my phone from its protective case because the bottom of the case prevents the phone from completely seating to the usb-c connector of the DEX pad.

Samsung could have designed it better (For Example) the older DEX DOC with clearance where you could fit the phone with the cover still on, but now this newer pad requires taking the cover off every time to use DEX. This is not progress, this is going backwards from their older model DOC and a pain in the butt. Also, let me clear up 4K issues right now: DeX DOES NOT SUPPORT true 4K (YET) You will read: " UHD 4k Cable Included " on the box, but this is sneaky wording, the cable they include in the package may support 4k, but Samsung DeX DOC/Pad does NOT support 4K! (As of August 2019) No matter what promises, no adapter, HDMI Cable, or other purchase as of August 2019 is going to support true 4K/HDR in DEX so stop wasting time looking for a solution, wait longer it's NOT there ... Maximum supported (True) resolution no matter if you use this pad or any number of the multitude of other ways to connect your S8/S9/ ...S10? are only going to be 2960X1440. Anything that thinks your running or going to run 4K is upscaling lower quality. Also, it's just not there yet, many things don't fully support Dex (yet), forcing a download of an APP instead, which many times results in a small phone size screen running in the middle of your huge Monitor such as trying to view full screen videos directly with your browser on NBC, CBS and many others like my zmodo doorbell camera. I do hate Windows 10, mistakenly thought Samsung DeX would allow Windows 7 as my last best Microsoft OS, but sadly I am now forced to use awful Windows 10 with a new Mini NUC to run true 4k HDR on my new 4K Monitor and/or 65" LG TV. So, now I've connected my DeX Pad to my 2nd HDMI Input on my 4K HDR monitor (running a blurry non native 1440P resolution on my 4k Monitor and/or TV) Only use DeX occasionally to show people how it works, & for the few miscellaneous things it works good on, but as of August 2019 I still need a traditional Desktop NUC/PC running Windows as DeX in no way replaces those yet, but hoping it will in the very near future.

This is almost replacing my computer. It did come with a foreign plug but that didn't matter any. I just used my devices. It took some learning but I was able to stream in full screen really easily. Great buy.

Works with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Korean power adaptor.
It works. Korean package with European power adapter. Unfortunately I do cannot read instructions. Fortunately I have extra US charger bought with my wireless charger. It would work with the US adapter in your phone. Yes, I would buy it again for a second Note phone saving $30 but I have one phone.
