Great resolution for something at this price level. Has to be one of the most comfortable headsets as well. Be aware it does not have built in headphones for audio but a way to hook up earbuds. The only issue I have had is Windows Mixed Reality Opening randomly even when not setting off sensor camera on the headset itself. Could be error on my end. Not a deal breaker. Amazing first headset and a great way to get into VR/MR gaming on a budget.

I've had problems from day one- it would randomly turn off. I really should have returned it after getting it or gotten a warranty but that was my mistake, I just really didnt expect it to be near nonworking out of the box. I tried showing it to my dad today, one day from the one year mark since it was delivered and the headset screen stopped working entirely. It's useless. The HDMI cable doesnt work and I have no idea how I could even fix it.

This was a little worrisome as this was my first time buying anything from eBay, but it went really smoothly. I got this as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas, he's already got it open and loves it! It came in good quality, works just fine, it was a little hard to figure out but we got it. It came safely packaged as well and the box it came in looked basically brand-new! The only missing was the batteries, but that was to be expected and was an easy replacement. We both love it and thank you again for the opportunity to be able to try VR out! It's so fun and I didn't think I would get something in decent quality for a decent price, hope your holidays are full of love and cheer!!

Virtual reality has finally come to a point where used hardware is somewhat affordable. The Lenovo Explorer is comfortable compared to others and it fits over glasses. Everything works greats. This headset has a spring-lock mechanism on the joint connecting the headband and main unit which both holds it snug and allows the user to easily pivot the lenses 90 degrees to return to reality. This headset does not need any sensors. Windows mixed reality is awesome. Your computer will require decent GPU and bluetooth for the controllers.

This is a very good headset. It is very comfortable, decent specs, excellent tracking, and a very decent cord length. The only downside is the WMR controllers are battery hogs. This can be mitigated with Thwarf 1.5v rechargeable batteries. 1.2V batteries WILL NOT work. Otherwise this headset is excellent for the price and works wonderfully. Mic/Headphone headset combos are supported and helps with cable management. 9/10 because regular batteries tend to die quickly and cause controllers to unpair in game. Rechargeables fix this.

So this is the second unit I’ve purchased. One for myself and one for my buddy. We haven’t used them too much yet but I have played about 2-3 hours of Fallout 4 VR and about an hour of Doom VR and I gotta say I’m super impressed! Now I’ve owned a Oculus Rift before and sold it because the lack of games (back when VR just came out) and I still use a friends Oculus once in a while and I must say this headset is just as good if not better in terms of everything from visual quality to hand tracking and head tracking as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone just getting into VR or wanting a solid set up for cheap.

Virtual Reality is cool, and the Lenovo Explorer is an inexpensive and easy to use entry point to experiencing it. This unit, like all of the first gen WMR headsets makes use of inside out tracking, letting the user avoid setting up light houses or sensors for motion tracking. However, the experience is marred by the display's muted colors and noticeable screen door effect. All of which I could forgive, given the unit's typical discount price, if not for its reliability issues. My own Explorer failed after less than 10 hours of very gentle use stretched out over a year. Researching the issue, I found it was rather more common than I was comfortable with. I'd recommend springing for a warranty if you pick one of these up, just to mitigate the risk.

Definitely not a competitor to the Oculus Quest 2 or Valve Index, but for ~$200 it's a good deal. - marker-less inside-out tracking - simple head band that is easy to take off and put on - no battery to charge in the headset - setup is quick, from the moment you plug it in to your first VR experience - Runs surprisingly well on my laptop: core i5 7300hq, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti, and 8GB of RAM - controller tracking is decent, but the ergonomics are annoying sometimes

The headset has very nice quality video output, and the headphone jack is in a perfect place on the headset for comfort. Controllers are responsive and have brilliant tracking. One thing this product does not mention is that you need to have a Bluetooth ready computer. However, I solved this simply by buying a USB Bluetooth device hub for my PC, and they work great! My only real complaint, to no fault of the headset itself, is that the HDMI/USB cable can get in the way if not positioned correctly. However, most VR games have controller-supported vision control so you can always readjust yourself. Absolutely magnificent product if you do not feel like dumping the extensive amounts of money for an Oculus or HTC headset.

If you want to get into VR this is a decent/cheap way of doing so. It doesn't require facebook and the refresh rate is fairly good (90Hz) and that makes a big difference with movement. I wear glasses so the screen door effect is pretty strong. The tracking on the controllers isn't bad just a little jittery. overall it's been fun!
