    Dakota Driveway Alert System

    I live off the road about a 1000 feet in the woods with hilly land and it works just find for me. I am pretty amazed, because it even works in my basement. My house in right in the woods and the Transmitter box is all the up front maybe like 40 feet from the street and works just fine. They are always improving these systems and making them better. Great buy!

    Meets our needs

    We have 8.5 acres, yelling to communicate just doesn't work. Old walkie-talkies didn't have the range. Charged these, walked a mile off the property and was still in touch, gos enough for me. Plan to add the base station and driveway sensor soon.

    Using for work.

    We use MURS radios at work and I'm trying out a few different units to see which works best without spending what a Motorola radio costs. So far I've also tried Bandaricomm and Retevis. It's as good as the Retevis.

    recommended for less than one mile range

    great device. I have 5 of them. Beware! More than 1 mile of range is not guaranteed and even one mile without line of sight is critical (Too small of an antenna!) Use it best as a two way transmitter only, if half a mile to one mile of range is not exceeded. Battery life of 40 hrs is o.k. but only with highest quality rechargeable batteries (like eneloop). Great service through Dakota factory = 5 stars
