    Good speed and easy setup

I saw where many couldn't set it up with the supplied CD and so I just went in and set it up manually. I didn't try the CD setup feature so I can't comment on how it is to use . It is just lake any other router out there and I found it easy to set up manually. It has much better speed than my old D link, including streaming video, and it is also dual frequency which I am not using yet but now can if need be. It also has an input for a shared external drive which I may consider to save files. I now use the cloud but I like the idea of the shared drive with 3 computers in the house. It's range is very good. I have it at the back of the house and I can walk back over a hundred yards and still have a decent signal.

Awesome router with crap power supply

This router is a beast but. The supplied power supply is rated at 12v .5amps but the router requires 12v 2amps. Big difference. With the oem power supply the router would not work for long would reset or just drop out until reset. Once I got an aftermarket 12v 2amp power supply all the problems went away. I just wonder how many of these router have been thrown away because of this issue. The oem psus reached a temperature of 75c that's way to hot. Aftermarket one only get to 30c at most.

  • Little buggy in Tomato so far but maybe that's just me.

I like the aesthetic design of the case a lot. This router was scuffless and fresh looking, in its original case, even still had the booklet. It shipped with too low watt of a power cable to turn it on, (took me a couple days to realize what the problem was) but after I swapped the cable it acted like it should and was smooth and easy to flash to TomatoUSB. So-far bothers are the 5GHz signal disappears sometimes and about every few days nothing connected to the router can get online until I reset the router, but this is after I've put an unofficial firmware on it so it's most likely not the router's fault and is fixable with some settings tweaks.

  • An easy to use router with gigabit speed on all hw ports

I purchased this router because I have other Linksys equipment and it generally plays well together. Unfortunately I bought this one because I found out that the marketing literature of the prior Linksys N600 E2500 router I had was misleading. It claimed to be a 600mbps router but nowhere did it specify that the max port speeds were limited to 100mbps. It was only a year or so after I purchased this that I finally learned it was limited to 100mpbs per port so in order to get the full bandwidth I was paying for from my ISP I needed to move to this router which has Gigabit speed on every port and it works fine.

  • Reliable router even better with Tomato Firmware

Great and cheap bit of hardware with 16 MB flash and 64 MB ram and 64K NVRAM. Good with Linksys firmware. better with DD-WRT and GREAT with TomatoUSB... I have 6 (5 in use, 1 spare) of them connecting with a Mesh VPN called TINC. I HIGHLY recommend them. Yes, there are faster 1750 out there, but if you live in a city with other wifi around you, you will NEVER get the channel space to exploit 80mhz channels, so you end up with the same performance as this quality bit of kit. I have been very pleased.
