Great looking Model Kit
This Model was really hard to track down locally when first released years ago in Perth , W.A. It wasn’t until years later that I had the inclination and opportunity to secure one via the internet . Being an avid Star Wars fan and ( recently returned ) model building enthusiast , I’m very pleased with this item . Revell ( manufacturers ) , unfortunately have a ‘ mixed ‘ bag of reviews by serious collectors when it comes to the quality of their Star Wars kits . I’m ( along with many others ) happy to report first hand that this kit of the Venerator is very much ‘ up to scratch ‘ , and with plans to add fibre optics , a little extra work will result in a beautiful ‘ replica ‘ .This Model was really hard to track down locally when first released years ago in Perth , W.A. Latest reissue is still a great kit!
The Venator class Star Destroyer is one of my favorite designs out of all the Star Wars craft, next to the Imperial class Star Destroyer and perhaps the X-wing for what I consider to be really great starship designs. This looks to be the 4th reboxing/reissue Revell has made of this kit, and it still looks great! Generally what happens is after a model has been in production for a while, the molds wear out and consequently details start to fade and/or get a lot of flash in the model. Not so with the Venator class. Panel lines are still crisp, fit is still very good, and no flash at all with this kit. Means either prior productions have been rather limited, or this is fresh tooling. The model itself is good sized at almost 20" long, and not particularly difficult to assemble. Of course this ... The Venator class Star Destroyer is one of my favorite designs out of all the Star Wars craft, next to the Imperial class Star Destroyer and perhaps the X-wing for what I consider to be really great starship designs. I very much recommend this model for all levels of builders and Star Wars fans. Definitely grab one while you can before it goes out of production again and they start selling once again for ridiculous prices on eBay! LOL!

Awesome....
The assembly was easy (although I would prefer a little more of a challenge lol) The size of the model is great at almost 20" in length, and the detail of the molds is extraordinary!! Revell hit this one out of the park in my opinion!

Well put together how ever the painting looks very rushed. Outside of the lines, smudged, drops of paint in random locations and faint spray from the air brush not being protected properly.
