    Very good wide-angle lens with decent macro capability

    Used it on a Nikon N80 film SLR with a roll of Kodak Ektachrome in it. Tried three-step bracketing with +1, 0 and -1 stop exposure mostly on close-ups on flowers in bright sunlight as well as in shade. Also tried similar bracketing on sun shining through tall trees, where the star-effect was clearly captured especially at the lower brackets. Overall sharpness is very good, even though wide-aperture shots were not tried.

    Excellent Value

    I was waiting for the Nikkor 24mm f/1.8g to drop into the price range I wanted and when it finally did, I snapped it up. Crystal clear, no distortion and mounted on my Nikon D7100 DX it gives me a real view 36mm wide angle normal lens. A great addition to the other Nikkor lenses in their f/1.8 family.

    Very sharp edge to edge, very little distortion, compact and light weight. Wide enough for landscape photography yet not too wide to be able to use for street, group shots, and environmental portraits. A very versatile lens.
