- Take the role of the progenitor Tal'Set as he first comes to the Lost Lands in this next-generation prequel set at the very beginning of the Turok saga. While in the heat of an Old West battle with lifelong enemy Tobias Bruckner, Tal'Set is suddenly pulled through a dimensional rift into a strange new land. The hero is close to death as he first finds himself in the Lost Lands, but is rescued by the inhabitants of a small village. Tal'Set agrees to help the villagers stand against their greatest threat, the merciless ruler Lord Tyrannus and his reptilian armies. This war becomes more personal when Tal'Set realizes that Bruckner was also pulled through the rift to the Lost Lands, and that he now serves the evil Lord Tyrannus.
Turok: Evolution runs on a new game engine built with 128-bit generation consoles in mind. Environments are designed to be lively and interactive, with realistic water and landscape features, full of indigenous plant and animal life. The game's artificial intelligence is also designed to present believable behaviors, with alert enemies that react naturally to their surroundings and allied squad-mates that can take cover, position themselves strategically, or even surrender. As in previous releases in the Turok series, gameplay is a mix of stealth, tactics, and first-person shooter action.

Great idea for a well done Game!
Turok Evolution is a great game! The idea is refreshing, a native american guy was drawn into a different time, different place, where Dinosaurs and lizard aliens roamed the planet. Naturally you need to shoot them all. The graphics are good for this year (2002) some glitches though: you can walk through objects at times. The weapons are great, I liked the most the arrows with their add-ons: the poison and the explosive arrows with the zoom-in sniper-option. Riding the dino-bird is a cool aspect of the game however it is a difficult one as well; maneuvering this big creature between, above and under the falling rocks and buildings is a challenging mission. The blood and gore look almost real. I love shooting games that's why I got this game, I also read good reviews and decided to give it a try and I am glad I did.Read full review

I LOVE TUROK!
Ok, lets get this out of the way, no, its not better than Dinosaur Hunter, Definately not as good as Seeds of Evil (my personal favorite)or Rage Wars. However, I liked it better than the Turok 3 game. Controls are tricky, but like most games you get the hang of it fairly soon, and there are levels that I loved, like flying the big prehistoric bird, pterrodactyl..or however you spell it..Now, whether to buy it or not? Well if you're a Turok fan, you'll probably still want to play it..even if its just once..but if you're looking for the same level of coolness and challenge as Turok 2, wellllll...you're going to be bummed..I bought it, played it..and would never get rid of it..but like I said, Im a big Turok fan...'nuf said..

Turok Evolution (PS2)
This game is pretty good. You can have alot of fun playing it. The only problem is it's always the same people you are killing. They just get better. This game is worth buying but make sure you do not spend more than 15 dollars. The possitive side of this game is that its a classic. If you love dinosaure action I would definitely recommend this game. I played multiplayer on this game and wasent fascinated. Though it is an amazing single player game. I love the sick weapons you get during the game. You will enter a world of carnivaurs and mass destruction!
