    Classicaly excellent sounding dome mids

    These mid 80's Infinity 2 inch dome midrange drivers are the absolute best that Arnie and the crew ever invented. Sublime, smoky and yet rich and powerful sound from a good amp. Stress on the "Good" as these mids drop down to under 2ohm at certain frequencies, Bring a good amp to drive them and what should the attendant Infinity Emit tweeter of your choice and vintage. You can find "better", but you'll pay a hefty price to even now match what was commonly available and regularly enjoyed 30 years ago.

    Magic in a speaker

    I luckily Inherited the Infinity RS-iiib’s from my father who bought them in 1985 and kept in storage for a few years before I got my hands on them. The mid range poly dome drivers immediately blew me away as I was conditioned to the audio lie of Bose and Sonos speakers that only provide loudness, no detail. Yes you NEED good power to match the 4, sometimes below 4ohm ratings buy damn, when it’s matched with a great amp, they SING even after 30+ years like they were new. Bought these for a pair of RS-6’s to match the same gray color of the RS-iiib’s. Glad they implemented these great mids in a lot of their speaker lineup. Love the cool plastic dope cap over the metal cage look too. Always wanted to play with them as a kid but glad I didn’t.
