If classic Super Nintendo is one of your passions too, this version will serve you well. I usually just play mariokart, but there are some other fun games on there too. I was worried it would have a UK plug or something, and I live in Canada, but it connects like any micro USB to USB and it plugs in that way. Just something to think about.

The SNES classic mini is expensive for the quality of product you get at $100. Has all of the popular classics, so good value in that, but the controllers are very short and the graphics on some of the games are almost unbearable. A little bit of buyer’s remorse wishing I had forked out the money for a Nintendo switch.

Having evolved from SNES to the playstation era with jaw dropping graphics and intensive gameplay, I am quite pleased to report that the SNES classic mini lives up to its core goal - hours of endless fun and family time. The SNES reboot does a marvellous job of recreating the experience for an entirely new generation of gamers. Having spent time on the console I can quite easily say that it outdoes the fun factor on offer from other consoles. Nintendo has done an amazing job! yet again!

It is now 2020, and emulated versions of Super Nintendo titles are within your reach of any where in the Internet if you're a person of 20th century playing Nintendo and have some idea how to tweak emulators and following instructions from YouTube. The trouble is the hardware. The controllers are never quite authentic. Yes, there are some products that near the perfection (iBuffalo's super famicom controllers rock), but as I mentioned, not the original, real thing. Well, this is as close as it gets without the yellowing of the plastic from 1990s and without having to worry about contact surface of the rom cartridge (blow on the cartridge! some might know what I mean...) The titles that really made SNES shine are here. The most notable ones being Nintendo-only ones (Super Mario world, Star Fox, etc). Awesome product. It's tiny, and every bit friendly to just plug and play whenever I wish without turning on my computer and tweaking the emulator to its specifications.Read full review
