I just bought 3 phones about 17 days ago. A couple of day after my mom tells me it turns off by itself and it kept erasing the contacts. And a couple of today's after that it turned off and could never turn it back on again. It totally stopped working. Now my grandmother's phone is doing that. So it's not long till her phone will be out as well. Just wrong very horrible. Yeah they were cheap. But even then not worth it.

Very nice hardware overall: screen is big, bright and responsive, CPU is fast enough for most things, has microSD card slot for storage, and a decent (but mediocre) camera. Great value, in my book. But there are drawbacks, like the average (being kind) sound quality of the speaker. The amount of T-Mobile bloatware that can not be uninstalled is rather annoying, to me. This is especially problematic given that the P769 has a locked bootloader, meaning if you plan on installing aftermarket/customized firmware you should look elsewhere. Note: there are 4-5 versions of the Optimus L9, with the other, less common versions having unlocked bootloaders. I quickly sold this phone in favor of buying an Optimus L9 P760 with unlocked bootloader - nearly the same hardware but much more hackable.
Most of the features are easy to use and the size of the screen is amazing, battery life could be a little better but it is an android phone after all.
Very happy overall with this phone, takes great pictures and is easy to use. The one thing I notice is that the sound for the volume is not loud enough even though it is on the loudest it can go. That is for incoming calls and text notifications. Battery life is not that great either but for my purpose this phone is fine.
