. Though some of this content has been issued before, there are two reasons that make this DVD presentation a worthy addition to your Disney DVD library: 1. "My Dad, Walt Disney" - In this all-too-brief interview, Diane Disney Miller shares her personal remembrances of life with her father. Included here is the most public announcement to date of the upcoming WALT DISNEY FAMILY MUSUEM at the Presidio in San Francisco. While the Company may sometimes lose sight of Walt's original vision for family entertainment, Walt's own family has held fast to their faithful commitment to ensure that future generations have an opportunity to study, understand, and experience the life of Walt Disney. Diane and her family deserve every accolade that is being directed their way. Theirs is a vitally important mission; one that is a worthy tribute her father. 2. "Disneyland '59" - This long forgotten television broadcast was thought to be lost forever, but has been recently rediscovered and reissued for all to enjoy. While a portion of the "Disneyland '59 Parade" serves as a valued historical document, portions can be admittedly dull. HOWEVER... as the parade nears it's conclusion, Meredith Wilson (The Music Man) steps to the podium to lead the most spectacular rendition of "Seventy-Six Trombones" that has ever been witnessed. Time stops while we are transported over the decades, landing in 1959 only to find ourselves right at home and thrilled with the company of stirring music, celebrities, and even Walt Disney himself. It is a breathtaking moment that can soften the hardest heart. The joy on Walt Disney's face is perfectly captured, and we are allowed to experience Disneyland as it was meant to be enjoyed; led by "Your Host, Walt Disney." Absolutely Brilliant!Read full review
I was told this collector's set had some episodes of the early Disney TV series that Walt Disney will not release, ie: Texas John Slaughter, Andy Burnette, etc. It was a total waste of money. I gave up on the Walt Disney club for the same reasons, they promised to release some of the classic Disney Legends & Heroes on DVD. They never have.

I enjoyed watching Mr. Disney host a tv series. I look forward to seeing this collection.

I wish there were more cartoons. Staged acting was so obvious with Walt on Disneyland tour. Too much fluff; not enough substance.
