We have several older relatives who don't own computers, therefore they haven't able to enjoy viewing recent digital family photos unless we bring our laptops to them. This picture frame enables us to leave them with some "lasting memories" which they can view whenever they want. Truthfully, the biggest drawback is that the frame does NOT have any internal memory, so it makes creating/modifying the chosen slideshow difficult when multiple people are involved. (It would have been easier for the various siblings to each have taken the frame for a day, loaded their favorite pictures, and passed it on to the next person, without loss of the prior photos. Instead, we had to have one person download everyone else's pictures and then put them all on a single memory card.) For most computer-savvy people, programming the slideshow isn't too complicated, but for our older relatives, changing it was prohibitively complex. For them, just using the "on-off" switch to control when they wanted to see it was adequate.Read full review
I own other digital frames that were much more expensive, but needed something to fall within a budget for a gift exchsnge. This Kodak frame looks as bright and clear as the more expensive models I have. I loaded a memory card with photos but also tried out a thumb drive and both worked beautifully, separately and together. I had cropped most of the photos to 16:9 ratio so they all looked great, but I had a few that were square so they showed black bars on the sides and still looked fine (& even some lower quality photos I took from social media looked fine). I’m very pleased and will be very happy to give this as a gift (preloaded with photos so all the recipient has to do is plug it in, it’s the perfect sentimental and personal gift).

Kodak EasyShare P720 7" Digital Picture Frame is a excellent thing for present. i have bought it for friend and he is very happy as it is very very easy to use. what is good: - supporting of many different type of memory cards - easy to use - good quality of showing pictures what is bad: - If you want to use this frame with large amount of pictures (1500 pics, 3GB) menu will work very slowly but slideshow will be ok. - no video support - no internal memory
It has nice ports for storage media, but no internal memory. The buttons on the side seem clinky and not smooth, but then again I am use to touch screens and my Playstation (which the buttons you just rub your finger across). For being a Kodak I was not impressed with the color quality of the lcd. This was purchased as a gift and we have a cheap brand (some random name). The cheap one looks much cleaner- colors better and not as pixelated. I wouldn't recommend this for purchase.
