Clip is covered metal and position is perfect and allows the case to sit low in the pocket with easy access to my glasses. The leather exterior of the case is soft and supple with the interior lining also very soft to protect the lenses. The exterior stitching is nicely done all around the outside edges and top as well. This is one of the best eyeglass pocket cases I have found and I plan on buying a couple more.
