The Canon A-1 is a 35 mm camera that will delight professional photographers with its advanced features. With adjustable electronic shutter speeds (30 to 1/1000 seconds), the Canon camera delivers blur-free images even when shooting fast moving objects. The electronically controlled, programmed auto exposure mode in the Canon A-1 automatically sets the exposure level based up on the light meter input. With bulb and flash synchronization speeds of 1/60 seconds, this 35 mm camera allows the flash to fire at the precise moment. The Canon motor drive MA in this Canon camera allows for automatic film advance up to 5 frames per second.

    Great value manual focus semi-pro film SLR with shutter priority.

    This is a great camera. It had shutter priority a long time before Nikon introduced it on the FA and you can read the exposure any time day or night as its in LEDs in the viewfinder window. The combined shutter/aperture dial is a little fiddly, but you can change settings with the camera to your eye. If you like shutter priority and for street photography with 400ASA film somewhere like London on a grey day, it's essential, this is also the only Canon of this era that had it built in. Since Canon abandoned backwards compatibility when they released the EOS series cameras and EF lenses, the A1 and closely related AE1 together with the FD lenses for them are a complete bargain these days. They are not the same solid built like tank workhorses that the Canon F or Nikon F and their ...

    Canon A! a good tool for the photography lovers

    I'm old generation photographer used to print my own photos I owe also a Nikon F2 and a Laica M both excellent cameras, but, A1 Canon is a REAL camera that have a natural feeling for the photos, I have a large set of lenses, 20, 50, 100, 38/200, 300 mm. plus ( even hardly used ) duplicators and only real drawback is the weight, is not a light camera to hold specially if with long focal lenses but the result are always very good sometime In my job sometime I need use a digitals but my feeling and hart still for this classic camera.

    Great product to use, excellent value for money

    I purchased the Canon A-1 camera body because i prefer to use film camera's,i've already used one film in camera and found it very easy to use.The camera has 5 AE Modes plus manual override which is great for different photo oppertunities,the camera has a good weight and is well balanced in your hands.I do not have any dislikes about the camera, and i cannot compare it to other camera's,overall it is a very,very nice camera to use.

    Best camera around, film or digital.

    As a professional photographer and owning many different cameras i can safely say this is my favorite, hands down. Easy to use, light, hard wearing, i just love the images it produces, would be lost without.
