This router came from mexico and it went through customs and was open and everything was in Spanish . That was no good to me whatsoever . The router lights go on however wifi light does not come on after I hook it up . I thought I had bought a router from California not Mexico. Just a hunk of junk as far as I'm concerned .

Purchased to replace a failed Linkskys router. After installing and having multiple problems connecting from various rooms in the house, I purchased a Linklsys for half what I paid for this. Now I have no problems connecting from anywhere in the house. I had a Netgear prior to purchasing my first Linksys and it worked but again the range was very poor. I thought with this newer model it might be better, NO WAY. Would never purchase another Netgear!!!Purchased to replace a failed Linkskys router. It didn't work right. It kept cutting off -sometimes after only a minute or two, sometimes it ran for a few hours before crashing. Rather than waste more money to send it back, I just dropped it in the trash. I think this one had a broken wire inside, since it sometimes cut off & rebooted if I moved it. And No, it's not the wiring, because I can plug in my old modem and it works fine and does not cut off. (My old modem does not let me plug in a second computer, though. THis is a great router for home use as well as business. It is easy to understand and makes things easier as you get use to it. There is a toll free number you can call if you have problems and customer service personal are great. Good purchase for the buck.
