FYI: I have been a professional guitarist for 50+ years. I have used almost every type of guitar amp, effect, etc available. This is a very high quality effect. It boosts your signal without excess noise or coloring your guitar tone. Whatever goes in comes out. Just Exactly what I want. Nothing more - nothing less. It also has plenty of gain on tap so you can kick the front end of a guitar amp into some breakup if you want, but what I use it for is kicking my leadwork up 3 - 6 dB above the mix on live stages and it works very well for this. I use Tube amps exclusively - Vintage Fenders, Marshalls, and THD Flexi's. Depending on the amp in use, I can get a very clean, pronounced lead when no O.D. effect is on before the BigShot. It's been a while since I had someone go through all the "logistics" Scott (ScitScat) went through to get me a complete Radial Engineering JX44, MR5, JR5, and SGI-44 setup like I wanted and had it on my doorstep all the way from Canada the next morning before 10:30AM like I wanted. The Radial product was built so sturdy and even the paint job with the logic diagram on top was like it was professionally painted as if it were a Lamborghini. I was so happy and throughly pleased with everything ScitScat did. I knew I had found myself a new favorite music store to do business with. I also liked to fact he sells pro-grade tour quality gear at the best prices I've seen anywhere. ScitScat goes out of his way to win your business (and he did!!!), so I highly recommend you give him a try on ...
