This is a great book that integrates scripture into the process of learning handwriting. As a 5th grade teacher turn homeschool mom of four, I research curriculum extensively before choosing. I used A Beka handwriting for my eldest son in Kindergarten because I loved their phonics program. The result was many mornings of tears and frustration. I do like A Beka and still use their phonics program for my kids. I chose A Reason For Handwriting this year for handwriting for my First grader and Kindergartener and was pleased with what I saw when it came in the mail. It is much better suited for my boys. It has small amounts of writing with repetition and a verse to write each week. I also like that it is set up with a four day week as apposed to a five and you can buy one teacher's guide that will last the entire elementary years instead of having to buy a new teacher's guide each year. This curriculum isn't as challenging as A Beka and has much shorter lessons that students can complete in a shorter time. Because boys develop fine motor skills slower than girls, this seems like a good choice for little boys...and girls as well I'm sure:) I also really love the fact that my kids are writing scripture each week. I will use this handwriting curriculum for all my kids through their elementary years. Teacher/Mom in ArizonaRead full review
This handwriting curriculum provides motivation for the student to do neat handwriting and also share the word of God with others...it doesn't get better than that!!!
Love that we memorize scripture while practicing handwriting! Love the price! I will be ordering the next level also!
Great handwriting curriculm. A lot of extra practice to master each letter and well as some basic reading practice.
