About this product

Product Information

After starring in a string of successful PS titles, the cute dragon hero flies into the next generation of gaming with this debut release on the Nintendo GameCube. A sequel-in-spirit to 2000's Year of the Dragon, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly pits the purple protagonist against old rival Ripto, who is scheming to steal all the dragonflies from the Dragon Realm. Spyro must conquer a variety of platform challenges to keep the villain from getting away with his dastardly plan. Take the wheel of a variety of vehicles and make use of new powers such as "bubble" and "electric" breath as you find a way to keep the Realm safe for all dragon-kind.

    Love this game!

Not the best Spyro game, but for the nostalgia value it’s perfect. The quality of the disc and case was excellent.

  • Good waste of a few hours

I have played this game in the past, and its entertaining. I am in nursing school and need something to help me unwind. This is an easier game than some-well, most- and is colorful. Spyro is cute (oops: had a girl moment...) and there are several "puzzles" in the game that you have to solve to continue game play. The graphics are decent, but that isnt the games fault, more the platform on which it was released (weve all been spoiled by PS3's and 360's and dont appreciate the older games). If you can pick up a copy cheap I recommend it, cause like I said- its a great way to spend a waste a few hours.

  • A die-hard fan's review: "Excellent, with fixed bugs!!"

This is my 10-yr old daughter's review: "Pros: Great graphics for GameCube, decent to good soundtrack, lasts a while with value, a little like the classics, good gameplay, major bugs such as collision problems aren't as much here, glitches aren't as constant | Cons: Annoying dragonflies, dull storyline, sacrifices graphics from PS2 version I will tell you what kind of gamer I am so you understand my judgment- I am a die-hard Spyro fan (I have so many collectables it’s not funny); I am mostly into action, adventure, RPG and strategy games; I finish medium difficulty games in usually a week (Then, add on collectables and bonuses, I usually complete games entirely); and I am an XBox 360 achievement LOVER… boy, can’t go past those. Now! Spyro The Dragon made the beginning of his debuts in ...
