    Endeavour Rocks!

Endeavour is excellent in every detail. Shaun Evans shines as the leading character, and every actor brings their A game. The stories are fascinating, suspenseful, and thrilling. Every episode is crafted with care. Be sure to get the entire DVD set, and start with the pilot episode. It sets everything up very well for the entire series. Endeavour is the very best.

  • Pretty good TV series

I've watched all 3 seasons now - you get more into it as the seasons go along. First season seemed pretty much one dimensional - the shows revolved around Endeavour's love of music and Oxford intellect, but they shake things up in season 2 & 3. I am finding similar threads now between British Detective TV shows in terms of some of the shows. The 2 main characters go through trauma on the job together - get shot up and then go through a recup phase. Anyway, I'm rambling. I do find that I have to watch these British shows twice before I fully understand what's going on. Their accents, you know? I don't always understand what they're saying.

  • Searching for Morse

While I really like this series and the acting and the characters, I just don't seem to be able to see Inspector Morse in Shaun Evans. Nonetheless, the stories are intricate, many-faceted and if I didn't have it in mind to try to equate Evans as Endeavour with Thaw as Morse I could simply enjoy it for itself. By the time I get through all the episodes that will likely happen. Beautiful filming and locations (Oxford is a place I've at least been) and all in all it's a series with much to offer. Looking forward to getting the follow-up series.

  • These episodes introduce us to Endeavour and the other characters.

I have watched one of the three dvd's in the package and it worked fine. I am saving the other two disks to enjoy slowly. It just so happens that my local PBS began re-airing later seasons of Endeavour so I am watching those, too. It's a rather dark series and there are many red herrings that I'm not sure I will ever figure out but there are discussion groups available to help explain to me what I didn't understand. The series is worth all its complications. We need more series like Endeavour.

  • Great Series

Never watched the Inspector Morse Series so I'm looking at Endeavour with unbiased eyes. Very entertaining and moves right along. Morse is a bit different but that's what makes him a great detective and an interesting study. Bought the 4 season series and have just finished season 1. Highly recommend.
