About this product

Product Information

Two marine biologists discover a giant shark's tooth off the coast of Mexico, and their worst fears become reality--the tooth is that of Megalodon, a prehistoric shark with a 100 foot-wide bite. The creature was believed to be long-extinct, but when tourists start turning up in pieces, the authorities decide that a decisive plan of action is required.

  • The Series Shifts Gears

To the surprise of many, the "Shark Attack" series continues with "Megalodon", which is the second sequel. The film apparently has no connection to the previous movies, as it introduces a new type of shark in this installment. However, the series maintains continuity in other areas. Jennifer McShane returns from the first film, although she plays a completely different character. Yes, the acting isn't great and the special effects are brutally bad, but this movie obviously doesn't take itself seriously and is a fun view. One line in particular is worth the price alone.

  • Collector's Item

This is one of John Barrowman's (Captain Jack Harkness from Dr. Who, Malcolm Merlyn from DC's Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow) early works and is equal parts terrible and wonderful. Total campy cheese, probably paved the way for the resurgence of the campy shark movies we're seeing today. Do not watch this expecting cinematic gold (or even silver or bronze) and don't watch it with your kids. Has one of the most epic lines of any movie simply known on youtube as "That Line" (NSFW). VHS is kind of outdated and I bought mine purely to get autographed. DVD copies are available, but no longer in print, so expect new copies to run you a pretty penny.
