    ( NO GOOD!!!!) the wet fire was packaged in a plastic shipping baggie, inside was another wetfire plastic bag that was the factory packaging the factory package was torn open, 3 of the 12 individual packages of wet fire where torn open and crushed. I simply had a shipping bag full of dust, belote has always been a great company to deal with until now,, I am not happy with the 9 intact pieces of wet fire i recieved, was a poor value when i paid for 12.

    Pros: arrived very very swiftly, as described, well packaged, razor sharp. Cons: the handles are a bit loose nothing too crazy but none the less I've narrowed this down to a manufacturing problem not this seller, it's something you have to open the package to feel and they were sealed shut. All in all 37$ for a decent machete.

    Slick but tough

    When I unwrapped this monster, I was impressed by the size and weight, but it's also a very nice-looking knife. I want to chop and slice with it, but don't really want to see it get beaten up. It's not overly heavy. It feels like it's just right, enough material to be sturdy and the blade finish is very smooth with a nice smooth coating. Big, but still attractive. The rubber handle provides enough grip for a good purchase on its large handle. More elegant than I was expecting.

    poor sheath material

    The knife is of good quality but the sheath is of poor quality. It is not a snug fit. I would rather of had a leather sheath.

    Great design, but a little bit of a warp to the blade

    While I absolutely love this knife, when I received it and sighted down the tang, I realized it has a bit of a warp to the blade. I realize this is a large piece of steel to work with and it is not the easiest thing to keep perfectly straight. Seller told me it is the manufacturers problem, now I have to decide if I can just live with it, or go to the trouble of sending back to manufacturer. Other than that, I love this knife. It came fairly sharp, is very comfortable in hand, and has good weight and balance. I actually like the sheath, which others have said was an issue. The Velcro closure at the top is a minor thing to complain about, the knife stays in fine without it.     A beast of a blade

    I love this knife!!! Wouldn’t change a thing except… the Velcro retaining strap on the sheath. I am going to modify it and then this will be perfect. It has a lot of weight. It cuts and chops easily. It comes pretty sharp but a few minutes on the whetstone it was razor sharp.
