    IRobot 4296 Roomba Scheduler

    This vacuum works great for what it does. I bought it to sweep the tile kitchen floor everyday because we have a dog that sheds all over the tile. There are days it will get stuck here and there, or it may move its charging base and not be able to get back to it, but for the most part it works very well. I like the fact that there are lots of hobbiest and tinkerers out there that have these robots, so if something goes wrong, chances are you can find a fix. My base charger wasn't working when I got mine, but I was able to find info and change a transistor that fixed the problem. I have tested this unit around stairs, going over carpets and rugs, around chairs, and I was very impressed how well it does. Its a good idea to place chairs and other obstacles to minimize what it has to go ...

    Very cool and useful item.

    This is the Roomba Discovery model. As a husband trying to chip in around the house, this unit is super useful. I set it up to clean up the dining room after the kids have dinner, and every few days to do the downstairs. Great at getting under the couches, etc... I am amazed when I clean out the cleaning bin on the Roomba that it always manages to pick up a lot of stuff. So impressed I got the Roomba Dirt Dog for the basement - also does a very nice job on a chore that usually does not get done. Be careful about what version you get - the Discovery is good because it does not get caught up on the fringes of carpets, etc.. so I can just let it run over the hardwood and the rugs and the whole thing gets done. Previous models could get caught on these fringes...

    My Little Buddy

    iRobot does a pretty good job, it is good for cleaning places where I don't normally have time to clean...such as underneath furniture. It gets edges really well. It is a good size and can fit in most tight places. I like that it can be scheduled to vacuum on its own. It doesn't do as good of a job as I would do and it doesn't do as good of a job on my area rug as my upright vacuum but it is satisfactory. I like that it returns to its port when it needs to re-charge. All in all it is a pretty good little machine...it has personality...My husband laughs because I refer to it as a "He" or "Him". I wouldn't pay full price for a new one, I think the brand new ones are way over priced.

    irobot--they are wonderful

    Both my daughter and I have pets. We constantly battled fur; vacuuming 2 times a day! She and her husband have a new son and he crawls on the floors. I purchased 2 roombas for Christmas, one for us and one for them. Best gifts ever!!! Now when I come home, there is no fur and the baby can crawl around to his heart's content. My daughter thanks me for giving her freedom. With ebay I was able to afford two! Thanks Ebay!
