Tester has female usb-c, so needs a known good usb-c M-M to test a M-F cable. A 10Gbps Gen2 USB 3.1 will only work at TB3 speed if devices connected at both ends are TB3 rated. 1st pic is Thunderbolt 3 M-M. 2nd pic is bargaincabledirect cable. 3rd pic is one that works but not at 10Gpbs Gen2 USB 3.1 speed. 4th pic shows close-up of tester. 5th pic pinout.
