This was good movie that showed how wars affect the folks back home, in that parents are often out of work if their jobs don't benefit the war effort. In this movie a little girl wants a bike for Christmas, her parents don't have the money for the bike, even though she asked Santa Claus for one. The father is angry at himself, God and the war, and just as he gets ready to throw a brick through a church window where people are gathered a mangy dog appears on the sceen that prevents this from happening. To make a long story short, on Christmas day, the little girl is heart broken when she discoverys there is no bike, but then the dog shows up at there door, and she is happy again. Mr. Christmas???
I LOVE Christmas movies. I have a huge collection that I watch all year long! The name Mr. Christmas was a bit misleading. The beginning of this movie was a little campy, and at times, downright depressing. I kept waiting for the plot to pick up and DO something. There was a flashback that was so not needed. The movie could have started at the beginning and ran to the end without the short, not needed, and a little confusing flashback. I realize that this has won awards, but the acting in the beginning left a lot to be desired. Almost to the end of this somewhat boring flick, it came alive! The acting seemed to improve, and the cookie cutter ending, that I was expecting, did not happen!! I found myself with tears and compassion late in the movie. OK short movie
The production quality is mediocre. The story line is good, but everything else needs improvement including acting, film quality, editing, etc. Movie is fairly short which is fine.

It's a great short story for all ages!
I love this movie I think it's a short,sweet movie that reminds me of some of my child hood growing up.I totally can relate to a lot of the frustrations of wanting to make your child happy during Christmas time and the aggravation of not having the means to do so.
