The size is right for the efficiency you get. It is a replaceable item and not a cleanable item and you do not put a new "filter" in it. Just replace every five years. Stating that, after hooking this up-very easily-and running if for the five minutes to clear everything, it is by far the BEST tasting water we have ever tasted! Better than anything you will buy in a store in a bottle and the best from a filter that you just replace a filter every six months. When you figure it all out, this is very reasonable and will not leak like the other kind. Just cannot get over how wonderful the water tastes and no more sore throat from drinking city water run through a different type undersink water filter.

Unfortunately i am having difficulty in finding the correct plumbing fittings to install in the UK. The US fittings are not easily adapted so I dont know if i can install it. I contacted the US office for further instructions and am awaiting a response. The UK distributor told me to return it but that will cost around £40 as it is a US product. I will update this review if I get solution from the US office

Was a very simple install, most of the work involved stripping out the under sink cabinet of junk that should have been done ling ago It took about 15 minutes with a crescent wrench, one coupling had to be undone, and the unit connected in. The unit is self supporting and free standing, so no brackets or screws into the cabinet. I turned it in, it ran grey for a few minutes, then came clear. The water has fine bubbles at first which dissipate quickly. I’ve only had it for a week, but I am pleased with the absolute clean taste of the water. I used to buy big flats of little plastic bottles, never again. Time will tell, they say the unit filter will last 5 years. I hope it does
