About this product

Product Information

Fight for survival on a tiny island crawling with enemies in Nintendo's Dig Dug II: Trouble in Paradise. In this sequel to the popular arcade game, Taizo Hori must fend off Pookah and Fygars that have the ability to kill him by touching or breathing on him. Your only chance at survival is to defeat your opponents by inflating them with a pump or creating faults in the ground using a jack hammer. Released as a Famicom disk for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, this is a classic game for anyone who enjoys the simple gameplay of early video games.

Excellent transaction! Fast reply to questions about the maps and handout. Accurate description on condition and binding of cover. A well loved manual that shows an acceptable amount of use for a campaign. The shipping from start to finish was very surprising for the USPS, and I was astounded by the great packaging. The abuse of the packaging was put to it's maximum by the conveyor process, the outer plastic shipping was worn through in many spots, the cardboard and inner plastic made it safe!

  • Buries the original!

I always loved the original Dig Dug but when you got to the loop of the final four screens, it got kind of dull. That is certainly not the case with Dig Dug II! II has well over 50 different screens/islands that all present diffent challenges. Unlike the original, this version is all above ground. Instead of dropping rocks on unsuspecting Pookas unt Fygars, you use a jackhammer to knock out the ground from underneath them. The beauty is trying to knock off a giant chunk of each island you are on to send as many of them into the sea, or just knocking out little squares of island and then doing some fishing (play the game, you'll see what I mean!) So if you want a real challenge and love stategising on the fly, get this game! You will not be disappointed!

  • You like arcade? Give this a try.

An underrated game. It has a new twist of the original Dig Dug, as you can destroy parts of islands to get rid of enemies, instead of the usual inflate-until-they-pop approach. The enemies are the same, though. The game is good and entertaining, and is definitely way underrated.

  • Top Three NES tapes.

One of the top three NES tapes. The only ones that can possibly compare are Digger T Rock and Captain Skyhawk. If you haven't played Dig Dug 2, you haven't played NES. Unless of course you happened to have played Digger T Rock or Captain Skyhawk...
