Our home was wired with coax to each room, not great if it doesn't have ethernet. Not a problem with this extender. It has a coax line in so we were able to extend via a direct connection to the main router, not over wifi. Our signal now runs throughout the entire home because we're utilizing the main router and two of these extenders. Well worth the money.
