    This adapter is quite well made - better than I was expecting for something made in China. The weakest part is the M42 internal thread which is sloppy, but it tightens up when the lens is fully in. The adapter arrived several weeks early and was well packaged in a bubble-wrap bag which was inside a rigid plastic box. This adapter will give your old "Pentax screw thread" lenses a new lease on life - just remember that lens technology has improved since then and that this adapter is fully manual.

      Works perfectly on X-Pro 1 and Helios lens

      I wanted this to fit a Helios 55mm f/2 lens to an X-Pro 1. It worked great straight out of the box, and the lens has been attached to my camera ever since I first fit it on, replacing the otherwise venerable XF 18-55 that I bought with the camera. Now I'm looking to find more m42 lenses. Attached photo was taken with the camera using the lens and this adapter.

      Good product

      When you don't notice it's there it must be working seamlessly. Does what it's supposed to do perfectly. Very well made. Lens securely mounted. Am buying another one to mount my old Nikkor lenses to my X-Pro2. Only negative issue is shipping takes a long time, several weeks. Wish there was an option to expedite shipping. If there was I didn't see it.

      Simple, done right.

      It's a simple adapter, I didn't expect much. The thing fits beautifully into the fuji X system, not too tightly but with no play, and the m49 screw adapter has my lens top dead center right out of the box. The adapter is all metal with a very nice finish.

      Opens up a whole new world of wonderful lenses

      This adapter is great value for money. It is reassuringly solid and sturdy and does exactly as it should - allows you to mount your M42 lenses on your Fuji X bodies. For just a few quid you have access to a huge wealth of wonderful old lenses which can be bought at very reasonable prices because people don't want to focus manually any more - or maybe you have some M42 lenses stashed in the loft somewhere which you haven't used in years. In my case I have a Helios 44M and a couple of Super Takumar lenses handed down to me by my aunt and I believe about the same age as I am. I have been using this on an X-Pro1 and loving the results. Pop the adapter on, pop the lens on, switch to manual focussing and make sure you have focus peaking enabled on your camera. I found it much easier to use ...
