    Classic looks, more reliable, and not a brifter. Best solution for a steel frame.

    Much nicer ascetics than Shimano 9 speed brifters, especially for steel bikes. A lot less moving parts and much more reliable too. Many more gearing choices, modern wheel options if you are upgrading any 130mm rear wheel spaced wheel. If you can find them NOS or in good shape. jump on it!

    The good old stuff

    Bulletproof shifting that just works. Uncluttered, uncomplicated, and when you have something reliable I don't know about you but I'm fine sticking with it despite what the rest of the world is doing. To my eyes it's a cleaner look and will always be by shifter of choice for the road ahead of me.
