  • Island of Terror, An Outstanding Classic UK Horror Film

This film has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it in December of 1990 or so. An outstanding cast that includes the late-great, Peter Cushing as well as excellent support from, Edward Judd, Carole Gray, Eddie Byrne, Sam Kydd and Niall MacGinnis. The film tells the tale of an island off the Irish coast that suddenly is discovering dead bodies, void of any bones! When the local Dr., heads to London for some help, he brings back, Peter Cushing, Edward Judd and Carole Gray. It isn't long before the trio discover the reason behind the boneless bodies, experiments at a research lab located on the island have inadvertently produced mutated beasts that survive on human and animal bone. Can the island survive the creatures, can the creatures even be destroyed and how many will be left ...

  • try it you'll like it

This is an older movie without all the special effects that are used now. The story, however is a good one, and the actors though I don't know most of them, did a good job. I have to believe this is the first movie I've seen Peter Cushing in where he's calling for "brandy quick"! I really like Pete, and brandy. One other thing about older movies in general. Now, I can curse with the best of them, but it's so nice to watch a movie and not hear all the profanity that is common place with new movies

  • Island of Terror...

Wonderful movie for the time, Peter Cushing is always a favorite. Over acting by Carole Gray but for a 1966 movie, they always made women out to be OVERLY WEAK...little did they know! And to think Edward Judd wanted to shoot her...Huuummmm! To put her out of WHO'S misery? Should actually read "Bone sucking" instead of "Bone eating" The creatures inject a substance that liquefies the bone so they can suck it out. Will give children nightmares and out of the woods & caves but exellent for old classic movie lovers.

  • Classic horror movie.

Had seen it before many years ago, looked for it for a long time. Some copies were priced way too high. Quality of movie was very good. The premise is a science experiment gone awry on a small island off the coast of England. Creatures have been spawned, they like calcium;esp. human bones. Our valaint group of villagers must find a way to destroy them.

  • Creepy, cheesy Hammer-era classic with stupid title

Cancer research goes seriously awry when the mutant results beseige an isolated island in a bone-sucking rampage.
