    This radio can only pickup a few stations in my area. There are more receivable stations out there but the radio doesn't have enough sensitivity to get. But it works well with decent sound on my strong local stations. If you're a radio buff who enjoys picking up distance stations, look elsewhere if anybody makes a radio of that quality. Many years ago I received an RCA portable AM radio that I enjoyed listening to at night because would get distant stations so well. I can't recommend this radio
