I've looked for this book for years, as it was from my Army Basic Training 45 years ago. The seller very accurately described the item, which made it easy to find once it became available. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other similar items that I have seen. Shipping was very fast, the seller is very responsive. The packaging was excellent! The Postal Service would have had to be intentionally trying to destroy this item to cause any damage. I've never been more pleased!

First of all, the book arrived three days earlier than the stated date of arrival. Furthermore, the packaging was so tightly secure that the book suffered no damage whatsoever in transit. The book itself is a beautiful copy, almost mint and much nicer than its description. Also, the price was exceptionally reasonable for a book of this scarcity. (Abe books showed not one copy available.). In short, I recommend this dealer with no reservations whatsoever. Thank you so much!

Incredible item with tremendous value and exceptional quality. The item arrived in great condition and the appearance was exactly what I expected. The item shipped fast and arrived on time from the delivery carrier. The packaging was very well done and the item was undamaged upon arrival. Thank you to the seller for a great transaction and an even better experience. I recommend the seller to all future buyers and certainly look forward to doing business again in the future! Thank you again!

    Very moving photographic exhibit

We saw this exhibition at the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City in January. It was very moving and we wanted to be able to spend more time, but were on a tour, so we decided to buy the book that went with it. Of course, it is out-of-print, so we found it on eBay and it came quickly and in excellent condition.

  • Stunningly good

I have been waiting to get this book at a reasonable price for 9 years. I first saw it in the War Remnants Museum in HCMC, but as I was travelling light couldn't purchase it. Upon returning home I discovered it had been required reading at some US universities and was extortionately expensive. I once also saw it for a reasonable price in a second hand bookshop in Lewes, Sussex, but the shop was closed and when I returned it had gone. This is quite simply a stunning book. Like the photographs it's beautiful and haunting. The words written by journalists that covered these conflicts that accompany the stunning photography add in every way to what we are seeing. This is not just a book, it is an homage by friends and colleagues to the bravery of those that paid the ultimate price to ...

  • Moving and outstanding

This pictorial book replete with narrative provides the valiant history and bravery of conflict photographers. Not to disparage videographers, but there is something so gripping and pausing about photography stills. Frozen in place, the facial expressions of emotions are set in human history forever. To see the photographers who rode, ran and walked into combat areas armed only with a string of cameras, their guile and steady hands where I and others went armed with firearms. This certainly is a remembrance many home libraries should consider having a copy of in the collection.
