About this product

Product Information

Initially developed by the veterans at Stainless Steel Studios (and completed by publisher Midway), Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War is a traditional real-time strategy game with empire-building overtones, set in the ancient world. Players choose to lead the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, or Persians to bronze-age victory. The primary resources in the game are wood and gold, but secondary assets, such as hero units and cultural "glory points," open additional avenues of conquest. A "Hero Command" mode lets players take charge of their troops from a first-person perspective in the heat of the fight. The game offers plenty of land-based warfare, but also features advanced naval combat. A wide selection of ships, designed to scale, can be boarded and sailed by other units.

    Rise & Fall

    Very interesting and fun game for those who enjoy this genre. Creative ability to go into hero mode [1st person shooter] and some scenarios are in shooter mode. Easy to build up your forces and empires and logical chapters. Good RTS combat. Some gliches but minor. The problem solving is very realistic instead of solving puzzles, you sometimes need to solve a problem by sending slaves to cut down trees blocking paths or maybe building siege towers to go over walls rather than build a battering ram. Great training modes. Also has naval action mixed with land combat or alone. Overall this game will keep your interest

    Innovative RTS

    This game is a great time. Raising armies is very satisfying as it is done quickly and the armies are large, their is a unique economy in the game as well where taxes and glory play a large part in advancing your tech. The first person is great at first but it wears thin and gets boring kinda fast. It is a great game, not just for RTS fans. Scanarios are decent, skirmish options are great, graphics are dated.

    I had download the demo of the game and look like it was what I wanted to play more of it. I bought the game and it has been a lot of fun playing and the service of the company I bought it from were great and if you want a game think about getting it from them.

    great game , my 12 year old love it..... he thinks he is the next king arthur or something... has a lot of fun with it

    Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War (PC Games)

    Great game and great fun.... Fun campaigns and scenarios, nice to do battle in hero mode.... You can even download many scenarios on a website to play additional battles..
