Repair Successful! (with small complication)
End of day: My ipod nano 5th generation is working with a battery that lasts practically all day for the first time in a decade! Success, and would buy again. The only complication I ran into was the circuit board on the battery is slightly thicker than the old apple battery. I had to use considerable force to slide the casing with the new battery back into place. So much force in fact, that the battery circuit board moved a couple mm back. I don't really think this will be a problem for anyone, as long as you keep the yellow tape that comes with the battery. I have little doubt the battery's circuit board would have been torn completely off if I had removed the yellow tape.End of day: My ipod nano 5th generation is working with a battery that lasts practically all day for the first time in a decade!
