Transform your car stereo into a multimedia audio player. The Pioneer DEH-150MP CD player/MP3 in-dash receiver packs the power of several media devices in one. Take your favorite tunes wherever you go, whether you listen to music in CD, mp3, or WMA format. Get a classic car audio experience with a built-in radio tuner. An AUX input lets you connect external electronics to access additional media. The Pioneer DEH-150MP receiver includes disk list and CD text features, which display information about the disc and tracks on the receiver. The rotary volume control is easy to operate, and passengers in the back seat can control the volume or switch tracks with a remote control. This receiver features an LCD display with LED backlighting. The built-in MOSFET 50 W amplifier boosts the sound signal and feeds it through your speakers. Pioneer DEH-150MP stereo amplifiers offers lots of control for your vehicle’s speakers. The model includes a built-in amplifier, RCA preouts, and an equalizer to help you make the most of your sound, even in a small space. A digital/analog converter transforms the digital signals from mp3 and CD tracks into rich analog sounds. Bring out the bass in your speakers and control subwoofers with bass boost and subwoofer control features. Add extra depth with a three-mode loudness control. If you prefer to keep distractions at bay while you drive, passengers can use an adapter to plug headphones into the device’s RCA output.The Pioneer DEH-150MP head unit connects to your car using a full DIN connection, which is compatible with most vehicle models. The faceplate is removable, which provides security while you park your vehicle as the rest of the unit cannot operate without the faceplate. You can combine your Pioneer DEH-150MP receiver with a variety of accessories. You can plug subwoofers into the RCA output or use an adapter to play music through headphones. These receivers are compatible with a number of steering wheel remote accessories, letting you change tracks or control volume without taking your hands off the wheel. The Pioneer DEH-150MP car audio player lets you access music and audio in CD, radio, and digital file form. However, you can also use the AUX connection to playback tracks stored on external electronics. Although this receiver does not include a Bluetooth or USB connection, you can use an AUX cable to connect your smartphone, portable music player, or tablet and play your favorite albums and podcasts. You can also connect Internet-enabled devices to access additional types of content from streaming audio and video websites and play the audio through your vehicle’s speakers. Before connecting accessories to your car stereo, check compatibility in the user manual to ensure that they can work with the receiver. If you prefer to listen to the good old-fashioned radio, DEH-150MP receivers also include RDS to access broadcast data. You can use the presets to save up to 24 stations for easy access, and a BSM (best station memory) feature can store stations with strong signals automatically.

    JUST WHAT I WANTED

    It's a real good unit. I like all the features and I gave EASE OF USE a yes but the real problem with this unit are the instructions.....the print is so small that with corrected 20/20 vision it's difficult to read so I just push buttons and figure it out. I can not compare it to anything as it replaced my original Radio/Cassette payer 97'. I am happy and with a great price it's all good.

    Can't turn it off

    This particular unit came without a remote, which was clearly stated on EBay. Sadly, the remote must be required to turn off the radio because it cannot be shut off manually. My guess is the unit was a refurb and this is why it was returned. An on/off rocker switch was needed to be placed in-line to turn it off. Not exactly what I expected.

    Solid performance without breaking the bank.

    Features The Pioneer DEH-1300 CD Receiver is a pretty plain and basic CD receiver; it does not offer MP3 playback or CD controller support (you can’t add a CD changer). The CDs are front loading and the face plate does not move. The receiver does offer nice EQ settings and you are giving 6 presets and you can make your own. The unit powers the speakers with a non-mosfet top power rating of 45w/channel and it has one set of RCA outputs (for attaching an amp) running at 2V It also has a AM/FM radio but it needs an adapter to use it in a GM made car. (I have included the full specs from Pioneer’s website at the end of this review) Installation This was the first real car audio install I have ever done and Pioneer made it easy with there detailed manual.     The price, performance and features you want & an absence of unwanted crap!

    This unit has the nearly legendary Super Tuner III. It does a great job of pulling in marginal stations that stock stereos can't get. It's an easy install on a 99 Saturn SL1 with the right adapters. The audio jack rocks for using any audio player device you have that will use the 1/8 inch jack that it comes with. Great for using for your mobile phone, too!!! The price is right and the specs are pretty good for a stereo at this price. Best of all, it doesn't have an annoying display that's complete with "spinning, flaming logos." It works good. It sounds good. It's got some non-annoying features that work well, too. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase.

    Replaced broken factory unit with Pioneer

    My old deck had become nearly useless so I purchased this new Pioneer. Installation went smoothly and it snapped right into the hole when finished and works perfectly. No complaints at all and I' really impressed that something so cheap can work so well.
