Seller shipped the wrong CD in this CD/DVD combo pack. He shipped a different Carole King CD in this package than the one I ordered. Refused to give me a refund and advised me to "go through Ebay" for a refund. Best avoid this seller. I will never purchase from him again. Unreliable.

  • Understanding gangs and New York

What this movie tries to accomplish is giving the viewer a nostaligic look back at what street life was like in old New York. Trying to equate the old New York where poverty and crime were common, to the new New York where corporations and yuppies bid up real estate to intolerable levels...gives the viewer sharp perception of that transformation over time. Where "Gangs of New York" takes you back to the early formation of Manhattan's shaky beginning, this movie brings you back to the roaring 20's through the bootleg era and post Depression. The story is complex, the scenes are split so that you get flashbacks throughout that keeps you thinking and forming opinions. A movie for thinkers. Only for mature viewers. The effects and music are hauntingly irresistable. You have to overlook ...

  • Review; VHS-Once Upon A Time In America

I decided to buy the film because I am a huge fan and also because I am trying to find an original two-hour version of the film on VHS. From my understanding, this is the version that was released in theaters when it came out in 1984 and I am trying to find a copy ecause I think it would be a worthwhile addition to my collection. If anyone has information they would like to send, please respond.

  • Once upon a time in America - VHS video

This is a classic film directed by Sergio Leone. It must watched multiple times to pick up all the nuances and details. Well worth watching. I did not like the item description, which included a comment about Elizabeth McGovern being nude in the picture. I think it is a salacious statement, and cheapens her performance. It is well worth watching because of the acting by DeNiro, James Woods, Elizabeth McGovern, Tuesday Weld, Jennifer Connely and others.

  • Works just as good as any DVD

I first saw once upon a time in america on DVD and decided to buy it on VHS and I am happy with my purchase

  • Once Upon A Time in America

Very interesting movie...I think one of De Niros best. Have watched it many times and it STILL keeps me fascinated with the tug of war between friends.
