    Great pickup for Rock and Roll!

    This pickup has the full, ballsy sound that I'm looking for in a lead position pickup, and has just the right amount of "scream" to it when you push it with overdrive/distortion. No wonder so many top players endorse it!

    The pickup that launched the aftermarket.

    The DiMarzio Super Distortion is a great pickup, I installed one in my Gibson Les Paul Classic and it's easy to see why so many famous players have them in their guitars, they are great for pretty much any rock music... rock oriented blues, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, 80's metal, etc...

    "Super Distortion" The 80's Guitar God Sound

    Just finished installing this pick-up. This is the pick-up that was used in Def Leppard's song Photograph. With a high-gain British Marshall, a bit of reverb and slight echo you can get that kick-ass 80's rock tone easily. Responsive and feedback's easily, not micro-feedback but string feedback an octave higher than the fretted note, although typical for most high output pickups. This one has awesome sensitivity. It's a very interactive pickup. Love it... If you like 80's top 40 shred.

    Dimarzio Super Distortion, a great choice

    One of the best pickups of all time. Covers a diverse palette of tonal territory. Very touch-sensitive. In today’s age where there are a gazillion pickups to choose from, the Super D still stands out as iconic.
